HyperDense, two guys and a drum machine, is a hard rock band from South London. Fuelled by the turmoil of modern urban life, they channel the raw energy of proto-punk and garage rock. The self-proclaimed illegitimate love child of Iggy Pop, Jimi Hendrix and Motorhead.

Formed in 2023 by singer Fenton Dabydeen and bassist Aaron Augustus, HyperDense have done the rounds through London's grottiest and most uninhabitable pub venues, from Camberwell's infamous Old Dispensary to the hallowed halls of the Windmill Brixton. Wearing cheeky grins and flamboyant glam attire, they have their sights set on making audiences mosh until they drop.

With two singles out “Puke” and “Dumbass” the latter reaching worldwide recognition.

HyperDense are getting ready to launch their first EP “Half Moon Lane” The EP dances between raucous hard rock and sophisticated synth riddled melodies fueled by the energetic insanity that deep emotions give every living being.

"Hyperdense are something else. High energy rock and roll, pure. Performance. At. Its. Very. Best."

-OddDuck Presents

"Garage rock trio Hyperdense kicked off proceedings with a fit of energy that didn’t stop coming. With their orgy of sweep-picking & dirty, over-driven bass; mohicans & Jackson axes."

-SCUMFILES Magazine (excerpt from article 'Neuro Placid Single Launch Party')

"There are some strange sonic powers at work at the heart of this new single from HyperDense. It is forged from hard rock’s relentless and epic groove and full of smart salvos and riotous riffs, yet within all of that, it seems to build a bridge between punks’ swagger and attitude and glam rocks infectiousness in precisely the way that bands like The MC5 did. And so, the big question is, how do they tick all those boxes without a maelstrom of contrast and collision on their hands?

I can’t tell you, but tick them, they do, confidently and with a thick and unmissable marker pen. “Dumbass” grooves and grinds and squalls and squeals as it careers along its not-quite-four-minute path. And it reminds us of one thing – whilst it always pays to know where you are heading, you can learn a lot from understanding where your music has been.

And so, although HyperDense has a cool and pretty unique sound, it is one woven from some fairly recognizable sonic strands. Part Iggy and the Stooges, part Motorhead, part second-wave UK punk, this is the sound of the cycle going full circle. Everything comes back around eventually, and this is the sound of garage rock having its day in the sun, only with different captains at the help.

All aboard, we’re going in….who wants a bit of the action?"

-The Big Takeover (Dave Franklin December 2024)

"HyperDense is the sonic equivalent of jumping off a roof into a mosh pit. It’s wild, reckless, and unapologetically fun"
