HyperDense is a three-piece hard rock band from South London. Fuelled by the turmoil of modern urban life, they channel the raw energy of proto-punk and garage rock. The self-proclaimed illegitimate love child of Iggy Pop, Jimi Hendrix and Motorhead.

Formed in 2023 by singer Fenton Dabydeen and bassist Aaron Augustus, HyperDense have done the rounds through London's grottiest and most uninhabitable pub venues, from Camberwell's infamous Old Dispensary to the hallowed halls of the Windmill Brixton. Wearing cheeky grins and flamboyant glam attire, they have their sights set on making audiences mosh until they drop.

"Dumbass", their second single out on 14th December, is a high-energy hard rock anthem that fuses punk’s rebellious edge with glam rock swagger. The distorted lead guitar and propulsive rhythm section create an adrenaline-fueled sound, celebrating living in the moment, embracing carefree fun, and creating unforgettable memories. With a mellow interlude adding depth, the song captures the freedom of simply being and enjoying life’s wild ride. Perfect for fans of riff-driven guitars, catchy hooks, and anthems of pure, reckless joy.

"Hyperdense are something else. High energy rock and roll, pure. Performance. At. Its. Very. Best."

"Garage rock trio Hyperdense kicked off proceedings with a fit of energy that didn’t stop coming. With their orgy of sweep-picking & dirty, over-driven bass; mohicans & Jackson axes."

-SCUMFILES Magazine (excerpt from article 'Neuro Placid Single Launch Party')

"Hyperdense is pure rock and roll.

The guitar lines sit comfortably between Mick Ronson's moaning wah pedal and Tony Iommi's mastery of distortion. This combined with a dirty, thumping bass tone and the primal shattering of the drums make for a three piece that is not to be missed. The result is a ravenous and primordial blend. Wailing guitar lines to make a grown man cry. The vocals are aggressive, they'd be at home in the sludge of the San Francisco hardcore scene. Gang vocals are a popular trope amongst bands at the time of writing but rarely are they pulled off with such skill.

Do not be misled by the silhouette of the frontman, the greased up mohawk and full leather outfit doesn't take anything away from a sweet, down to earth attitude. As the song breaks there's a moment of silence before the band bursts into laughter and stage patter which warms the crowd up to them immeasurably. These
are real, 3 dimensional human beings that are playing good fucking music.

Raw Rock 'N' Roll is not something you often come across in South London anymore but the revival of earthy, lusty rock can be found at any venue graced by the presence of Hyperdense.

There exists a thing no better than music made by people who have the deep appreciation of their forefathers.

Run. Don't walk. Where were you when you first saw Hyperdense?."
